ARTNETS Ltd.
Since 1999, the company ARTNETS has been dealing with inheritance cases, searching for heirs and carrying out historical and genealogical research in Latvia. We offer our customers a wide range of services both in inheritance cases and in historical and genealogical research from the end of the 18th century to the present day.
Our advantages are:
- Conducting genealogical research is one of the official activities recorded in the Articles of Association of the company in accordance with the classification of sectors of activity (NACE 2) class 96.09 (organization of genealogical research) and class 63.99 (research services for remuneration).
- We have extensive professional experience in research work, good knowledge of archives and its specifics, without which a real professional historical and genealogical research is questionable.
- We always evaluate the research perspective, carry out substantial analytical preparation, draw up the best plan, and with us you will always be sure that there is a chance for success.
- Nowadays, in the era of the Internet, any person can find any document containing the needed information, and without having the necessary qualifications, and pass it off as genuine research. We are an alternative to such “researchers”, since we will professionally analyze the document, comprehend it, and compile an extensive commentary and historical background, which is much more important. This requires additional time, and for this we charge fee.
- We do not send requests to various archives and institutions but visit the reading rooms ourselves and get acquainted with the primary sources of documents and, if necessary, consult with experts in this field.
- We have a large collection of specialized literature and an electronic library.
- We are the only company engaged in historical and genealogical research of all periods of Latvian history from the end of the 18th century to the present day.
- In more than 20 years of activity, we have conducted more than 400 successful genealogical studies, reviewed thousands of archival documents and compiled more than 400 family trees.
